Imam has been living at the beach since the mid-80s and continues to keep a simple bamboo home, without electricity or running water, where he paints and communes with nature. Located just 25 km outside of the city of Jogjakarta, the sounds of the wind and waves become one in this coastal area, where the legend of the Queen of the South Seas lives on.
